The Rad bag is made to hold your lightweight glacier rope. It's function & design has many goals:
Keep your rope tangle free and pre-flaked so it's ready for action
Acts as a throw bag for quick deployment to a patient who needs a rope quickly; clip top 'biner to your anchor, throw bag to patient and rope spools out when you throw it leaving the btm 'biner in place for the patient to clip to themselves.
Size: 30m rope + your rescue kit can fit. When it's only a 30m rope going in, it fits easily thus making the icy/wet/cold/rushed stuff jobs a breeze. Can also fit a 45m (without rescue hardwear) if stuffed.
