The Selkirk is the ultimate backcountry skiing pack.  Designed and meticulously hand crafted by Neil Warren, a professional ACMG Ski Guide.  This ski/splitboard pack is the culmination of 30+ years of backcountry skiing experience, 25 years sewing experience, 15 years of repairing outdoor gear (seeing 1000's of gear failures) and feedback from countless customers & fellow Guides.  I feel so strongly that the Selkirk is the ultimate backcountry pack, that it's now the only pack design I offer.  No more custom orders, no more multiple pack designs, just like there's only one glorious Selkirk Mountain range in the world, there's only one pack from Alpine Threadworks.  Note: this design was previously named the Monashee. 

Fabric: Main fabric is Challenge Sailbloth's recycled EPX400.  The premium, hydrophobic, Ultra400 TX Dyneema is also offered as a $100 upgrade.  The lid and other lighter weight items on the pack is the recycled nylon/dyneema ripstop Ultra grid

Tall length fits back length measurements of 55-59cm

Regular length fits 52-54cm. *note* Regular is slightly less volume than the tall 

If your back-length is outside of the standard size offerings, custom fitting is available.

  • Large, zipper-free, quick-access avi tool pocket fits shovel blade, handle, probe, saw, iceax (Petzl Gully) & skins-or-split bindings
  • Simple A-frame ski/split carry
  • large volume, dual pocket lid with car-key clip.
  • Rolltop closure provides complete snow coverage for main compartment plus tall height allows for over-stuffing
  • Hip pocket
  • Hip ice clipper for gloves, ski crampons, iceax etc.
  • Double re-enforced top portion of shoulder straps
  • Removable backpanel foam/sleeve with room for additional items.  I personally carry a 3/4 light weight Thermarest in my backpanel. 
  • Side access zipper with massive #10 guage, made in Canada, YKK waterproof zipper. 
  • Double hemmed webbing ends means you'll always have a webbing tab to pull on with gloved hands.
